Nacido en Madrid, comienza sus estudios musicales a temprana edad, obteniendo el título de profesor de música y piano.
Profesor de Interpretación Escénica en la Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofia de Madrid.
Ganador del tercer premio en el European Competition of Stage Directing (EOP Camerata Nuova, Wiesbaden 2005) y finalista en el International Competition of Opera Directing de Praga (2007).
Recientemente ha dirigido las producciones de “Faust” y “Lucia di Lammermoor” en el Teatro Nacional São Carlos de Lisboa y “El caballero avaro” en la Fundación Juan March de Madrid, producción elegida por la revista El Cultural de El Mundo como una de las 10 mejores producciones musicales del año 2022.
En 2003 realiza su primera puesta en escena, “La voix humaine” en el Festival de Música Are More de Vigo,2003.
Entre los años 2004 y 2010 trabaja en el Staatstheater de Darmstadt donde dirige entre otras las óperas “La Serva Padrona”, “Don Carlos” y “Maria Stuarda”, así como los estrenos mundiales de “La Cuzzoni” (Teatro Albéniz, Auditorio de Barcelona) y “Lord Byron” (Liceu de Barcelona).
En Alemania ha dirigido las Zarzuelas “Luisa Fernanda” y “El Gato Montés”.

Born in Madrid, he began his musical studies at an early age, obtaining his title as piano and music professor.

Recently he stayed “Faust” and “Lucia di Lammermoor” at Teatro São Carlos Lisboa and “The Miserly Knight” at Fundación Juan March Madrid, choosen by El Mundo´s “El Cultural” as one of the best musical productions of the 2022.
As director he made his debut in Spain with a production of “La voix humaine” of Poulenc at the Festival de Música Are More de Vigo, 2003.
From 2004 to 2010 he works at the Staatstheater Darmstadt. There he makes the regie of several operas like “La Serva Padrona“, “Don Carlos“ and “Maria Stuarda“, and the World Premiere of “La Cuzzoni“ (Teatro Albéniz, Auditorio de Barcelona) and “Lord Byron“ (Liceu de Barcelona). In Germany he staged the Zarzuelas “Luisa Fernanda” and “El Gato Montés”.
